SCA Sensory Skills Intermediate Course

The Sensory Skills module teaches the sensory evaluation of coffee. It explores how we perceive what we taste and how to apply these skills when evaluating coffee characteristics. It also provides an overview of how to identify coffee. Understanding how we perceive what we taste can be applied when evaluating coffee's natural characteristics. It also provides an overview of specialty coffee quality identification, as well as general guidance on how to implement this business.

Certification fees are included in the price.

Program
Ideal for those already working in the industry who wish to develop their sensory skills and abilities. The module is divided into three areas: tasting, perceiving, and interpreting. You will learn cupping techniques to recognize the diversity of coffees, conduct a cupping session and coffee tasting, and understand how to apply sensory skills within your business.
